Success for NIPBA Junior Inter Association Team

On Wednesday Night our Junior Inter Association Team travelled to Old Bleach BC to finish the final game of the Junior Inter Association Championship which had been rained off in July. They went to play the leaders of the series, the NIPGL trailing by eight shots with 5 ends played. The NIPGL started the game as strong favourites to retain the championship but our young team had other ideas.
From the start they indicated that they were not going to be easily beaten and slowly but surely they reduced the deficit. Going into the last few ends the team had moved into the lead, this was a lead they maintained to the finish. The game as finally won by a margin of 9 shots securing the 5 points required to take the title.
This is a young team which augers well for the future of bowls in the NIPBA.
